Our Promise Every item at The General Store 540 is chosen with care - and we want your experience to reflect that from the moment you order to the moment it arrives at your door. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
Eligibility for Returns
- Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery.
- Items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and in their original packaging.
- Beauty, bath, body, food, and seasonal items are final sale for safety and freshness reasons.
- Vintage, found, and one-of-a-kind items are final sale due to their unique nature.

Damaged or Incorrect Items If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Include your order number, a brief description of the issue, and clear photos of the item and packaging. We'll take care of it promptly - no runaround.

Once approved, we'll send return instructions within 1-2 business days.
Return Shipping Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. We recommend a trackable shipping method to protect your return.
Refunds Refunds are issued to your original payment method once the returned item is received and inspected. Please allow 3-5 business days for processing after we receive your return. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Exchanges We don't offer direct exchanges at this time. Simply return the eligible item and place a new order for the replacement.
Local Pickup Orders Local pickup orders follow the same return window and eligibility requirements listed above.
