We're two full-time working Virginians who started with a simple belief: quality things shouldn't collect dust.

The General Store 540 grew out of years of finding - and holding onto - brand-name goods, vintage pieces, collectibles, and handcrafted products that deserved better than a storage shelf. Someone out there needs exactly what we've got. That felt like reason enough to build something real.

Rooted in Rocky Mount, Virginia - the heart of Franklin County - this isn't a hobby. It's a long game. And we're just getting started.

What We Make

Our Salt & Thorn bath salts are handcrafted in small batches right here in the USA - natural ingredients, no harsh chemicals, made with the same care we'd want for ourselves. Every scent, every jar, every scoop is intentional.

What We Curate

The rest of the store is equal parts treasure hunt and personal collection - vintage finds, top-brand resale clothing in excellent condition, collectibles, curated gifts, and home goods. Things we'd actually keep if we had more room. We're picky about what makes the cut. Quality is non-negotiable.
