Not a dramatic origin story. No pivot from a corporate job. No lightbulb moment at 3 AM. Just two full-time working people who looked around one day and thought - someone else needs this stuff more than our storage shelves do.

That's how The General Store 540 started.

We're not trying to be everything to everyone. We carry what we'd actually buy - vintage finds, handcrafted goods, quality items that hold up. Our Salt & Thorn bath salts are made in small batches. Our vintage pieces are tested and honest. Our snacks are actually made in the USA, not just packaged here.

We check. We care. We're not moving fast and breaking things.

The longer game is bigger than a side hustle. We're building something real - something that could help our family, fund our kids' futures, and prove that you don't need a warehouse or a venture round to sell things worth buying.
